5-0

I'm happy with my boys today! They won 5-0 over Wigan, way to end the decade on a high note! I realize that Wigan are a rather sucky team who lost 9-1 to Tottenham, but I don't care. I hate it when people criticize United when they beat a weak team. I don't care against who they are playing, I just want them to win (although I did not enjoy the win over Hull... That was dreadful).
I love my team and I criticize them all the time, but I don't think that's a bad thing. I don't like to make excuses for them when they are bad, but I will defend them when other attack my boys.
I didn't get to watch the game, I've been missing way too many games recently and I hate it. So here are some pictures:

Football doesn't deserve a break

I'm sitting here on Christmas Eve at eight o'clock and I'm bored. My entire family is in Bulgaria except for my parents and my grandma who is visiting. We finished eating and now my parents are sitting in front of the TV watching a movie. I hate that Christmas is never really fun in my family. We don't really make a big deal out of it, so it's not nothing great.
I wish that there was football to watch, but no, they have to have a break and all that garbage. It's not fair, they make all the money because of people like me who watch football 24/7. They should play all the time. I miss my United boys. And my Valencia boys, I miss football :(
I can't wait until Saturday.

It's been going pretty bad. OK, let me fix that, it's been awful! I really do need reminding why I love football, and why I care so much about it, when it pisses me off so fucking much! I think that maybe football is like religion, you just can't question your belief (oooh, look I can make analogies). Anyway, United just continue to anger me, and I just want to yell at them. But then I feel bad because they are my boys :)
Sir Alex needs to figure a way out of our defense crisis because we cannot keep playing with Fletcher as a right back. Without him our midfield looks depleted and lacks the creativity. Rooney also needs to get his game back because the last couple of games he has not shown up at all. If he wants to prove us his greatness he needs to start scoring a lot more goals. I still don't understand why Berbatov does not play the full 90 minutes. He seems to be pretty fit. I know that Sir Alex wants to avoid any more injuries, but we do need players in order to do well.
I don't even want to discuss our defense...
Valencia were not much better, but at least they didn't lose. The game was actually boring, and nothing interesting happened. Veeyah's genius didn't show up at all, Mata was OK, but I have to say that both teams played really defensive football.
Liverpool seem to be having a mental breakdown so I don't even want to talk about them.
I said in an earlier post that I was going to start watching the Bundesliga so I watched the replay of Bayern vs Berlin today. I was really impressed by the way that Bayern played. It was quality football and they are a really great team. I know that they had a really shaky start to the season and they seem to be back in track. They played so well and dominated the entire game, it was beautiful to watch. There seems to be so much discipline in German football, and I really like that. There was no arguing with the ref, no pointless falling to the ground, it was complete football and I loved it.
I actually feel really bad for Mark Hughes. Poor Sparky, I think he really tried to something with City, but City are shit, so he failed epicly...
My dad just came in to tell me that United didn't lose to Sunderland. I told him I know, they lost to Fulham. Then he said "Oh the same Fulham that drew 1-1 with CSKA Sofia. They couldn't beat CSKA, but they could beat United. How sad is that?" I then proceded to kick him out of my room.

"I need reminding why I love this game.

because, in your heart of hearts, you know that they’ll pick you up at some point in your life and make you proud. because you know you’d feel so utterly incomplete with them in your life, because living without football is living without delicious food: empty, hollow and boring.

and they’re hot."

Blah= :(

Last week was a great football week, United were playing well. Valencia was winning. It was all going fine. And then this happens. I was really angry with the boys because they didn't play bad, they just didn't do anything!
Then I felt like I had betrayed them, so I am now wearing my United scarf, just to prove myself that I still love them. I couldn't finish watching the game, it was that bad. I turned it off about five or six minutes before the end. I think I was hoping that when I checked the score they would have equalized at the last minute or something like that, but none of the happened. I think I'm actually more upset with Fergie leaving Berba, Owen, and Obertan on the bench and taking out Giggsy so early. I think those were some bad decisions and Berba and Owen definitely should have started and we should have played a 4-3-3 or something like that. Anything would be better than 5-4-1. And the Rooney dive was a fucking disgrace. I don't understand why he did it, and he never should have done it. I think that he is one of today's more fair football players, but that really just made me angry. I don't know what's up with footballers these days, first Gerrard, now Rooney and Xavi...
I'm just really upset that we didn't win because that would have given us the same number of points as Chelsea and we would have had the opportunity to top the table. I don't think that they can win the title this year, or win the Champions league. Our squad is definitely not strong enough.
And Valencia... Oh poor Vale... I was really hoping that they would be able to win it against Real, and they back twice, but the poor things were unable to score the final equalizer. (Score was 3-2)

Finally, the real Champions League begins

United have this tendency to play great when I least expect them to. The bad thing is that they sometimes end up playing bad when I expect them to do well. But we never talk about the bad things.
When we went in to the match against Wolfsburg on Tuesday I expected them to lose 2-0. With a team of two first-team defenders, we really had no chance. 13 of the 19 players were midfielders. 13. Holy crap. Park was forced to play defense, and he is a winger, not a defender. I have to say that we did look really bad. We couldn't keep possession, but Kuszczak is my hero. He made so many great saves, he basically saved the game for us. Along with Michael Owen, Obertan was brilliant. I think it was the second goal where he beat like three defenders to make the pass to Owen, who scored.
I really can't hate Owen after he scored the winner against City and scored a hattrick to put us on top of the group. He is such a brilliant player, just not all the time. I think he has to be in a good mood or something. Basically, I think that he has been a good signing for United.
On a different note, I have no idea what we are going to do against Villa this weekend. I hope that Rooney and the Berba are fit so they can start, but defense will be a big problem. Villa are a good team, and I don't think that we will be able to get away with mediocrity again.

Liverpool were also pretty horrible today. I thought that because it was their last game in the Champions League this season they would win it, but of course they decided to prove me wrong. Torres came on for around twenty minutes and his brilliance is back. The team doesn't seem to be connecting and that bothers me a lot.
Barcelona also got away today with a 2-1 win over Dinamo Kiev. I was hoping that they won't qualify, but they are Barca after all.
I've decided to resurrect my love for German football before the World Cup, so I will start watching Bayern Munich again. I love all their players, but I haven't been watching any of the Bundesliga matches, so I've decided that I will watch at least one match every week.
