Much better

December is much better already. United won today 4-0, even though they were pretty horrible during the first half. Defense was scrappy, and we were lucky that we didn't let in a couple of goals. I'm happy with Kuszack and I think he is a better goalkeeper than Foster is. Fletcher did not impress me, because he was pushed too far back to play defense. It was weird seeing Carrick try to defend, even though he didn't do a bad job. But where is Vidic, FFS? We need him back, and Rio still hasn't made an appearance. Our midfield was really strong though. Scholsey, did a great job, and his volley at the 46th minute really got us going. Gibson was awesome, I've never seen him play so well, and his goal was pure class. Valencia was brilliant, and so was Evra, and Rooney, and Giggsy. I hope that Neville's injury isn't bad because he just started playing well again. The West Ham Fans were really good at booing him though, that was definitely funny.
Berba seems to have recovered from his injury, he played for around 25 minutes today, and he didn't really do much, but I'm glad he is back.
I'm afraid to admit this, but today I rooted for City. I know I should hate them, but when they had the opportunity to help United I will always support them. Now, we are just two points behind Chelsea and hopefully they will drop more points soon. I was ecstatic when Chelsea missed the penalty, because they never miss penalties, and when Tevez scored.
Real are also winning, and CRon is back and scoring. KAKA isn't here, which is making me really sad, and I didn't want to watch the game, but I saw Sergio score!
I don't want to talk about Liverpool.

Early Christmas

Well early Christmas went by so quickly today, I almost didn't notice. At noon today, well yesterday actually, I was sitting in Spanish class, hiding behind a computer and pretending to watch a movie. I was quietly arguing with one of my friends whether USA should have been a top seed, or not. I was completely against it, while he was trying to convince me that I am wrong. I kept refreshing the ESPN page broadcasting the live draw every couple of seconds, trying to get news. Spanish ended, and there was nothing, but South Africa in group A. In Pre-Calc my friend got his phone taken away when he screamed at me across the room in the middle of class to tell me that the US got England, Algeria, and Slovenia.
I'm pretty happy with the groups, but there isn't anything really interesting going on, except maybe in group G, the one with Brazil, Portugal, and Cote d'Ivoire. I hope that there are underdogs, because those always make the tournament more interesting. I'm happy with Germany's draw, it doesn't look like it's such a tough group, although Serbia and Ghana are not bad teams. Hopefully, they will make it out whole. As much as I hated Spain during the European Cup last summer, I seem to love them now, but think I still support Germany over Spain. I refuse to give up my first football love.
I'm really upset though, because tomorrow I won't be able to watch the United game tomorrow. I've been pretty good with their games. I think I've watched the past 10 games, and I've been happy with their results (except Chelsea, of course). I wanted to watch them hopefully, hammer Hull so I will have to find a replay somehow.

Everything is back to normal
We better kick some serious ass this weekend :)
And Valencia better play well tomorrow too, because that would make this a good week. So kick some ass my boys
And Silva is making me cry. I can't believe he will be out for a month. Fucking pricks that keep kicking him.

The Bad-ness Continues

So United did well, but everyone else fucked up. I hated it when stuff like this happens, I mean come on lads, can you at least try? I want to see some better results in December!
So I was pretty happy with Unite's win, although their defense was disgusting. They were lucky that they played Pompy and not some decent team. Wazza was great, though, which can be seen by the hat-trick. And Giggsy just makes me smile. I was really happy that all the old guys are back in the team. Neville was bitch-facing all over the pitch, Scholsey was all gingery, and Giggsy, well he was just being Giggsy. Thomas Kuahjkfhsdkjfhk, whatever his last name is, was awesome at goal, I think he will inherit Van Der Saar's spot.
Valencia, on the other hand made RAWR. They played so well, and they were leading 1-0... They should have won the game! I can't believe they let whatever other team they were playing score! And poor Silva had to be subbed because of injury, but Veeyah was great. I still can't get over his karate kick goal.
Chelsea also won, so they are still five points ahead of us... At least Arsenal are now like fourth or something. Chelsea need to start loosing. NOW.
Oh, Liverpool won, so I guess good for them...
All the build up around the Classico was for nothing. The game was pretty boring, and both Barca and Real really sucked. I didn't think the football was of such great quality and both teams were so disorganized, although I have to give it to the Barca defense, they were pretty great. I think that I have finally decided if I like Barca or Real more. I think the only reason I watch Barca is because they play great football, I actually don't like them at all. But I do like Real. OK, let me correct that, I like Kaka. I think he is the only reason I watch Real. Him and Ronaldo, because I want to see how he does after he left Man United.
Oh, and he is pretty to look at.

Thanks <3

It's Thanksgiving and it's only fitting that I do one of those what-I'm-thankful-for lists (although it's now Friday, so I guess it's not really Thanksgiving...). So excluding all the cliche, family, friends things here's a list:

  • Football, because this sport completely changed my life.
  • Manchester United, because my unhealthy obsession with this team is what gets me through the day.
  • Sir Alex, because he is God.
  • Ryan Giggs, because he is still the best.
  • Valencia, because they make me smile.
  • Kaka, because he is amazing.
  • Fernando Torres, because I just want to give him a hug.
  • Liverpool, because even though I don't like to admit it, I kind of like them.
  • Arsenal, because I love to hate them.
  • Messi.
  • Manchester City, because they still suck.
  • Nemanja Vidic.
  • Edwin van der Sar, because Foster will never be as good.
  • ONTD football, because they are the most amazing community ever :)
  • Bojan, because he is pretty.
  • Darren Fletcher, because I love him.

Bad, bad

Football needs to fix itself soon, because I don't like it when it's bad.
Seriously, Man United, losing to Besiktas at home? At home? If you can't beat Besiktas what am I to expect from you? I know that they weren't playing with their best team, but come on!If they don't win this weekend there will be some madness going on on this blog.
Also poor Liverpool are killing me... If Valencia make it through to the group stages and have to play Liverpool that will be very interesting. Two of my favorite players against one of my favorite teams... I think I'll go with Vale and Torres and Gerrard can console each other. It's been a pretty uninteresting several weeks in football, the games have not been as exciting, but I'm pumped for the World Cup!!! I think it's less than 200 days now!!!
The reasons we lost:

Gibson was singing

Macheda hung about and bitchfaced/ looked pretty

Anderson was scared of the ball

In tennis news... FEDERER!!! So, I really did think that he was starting to lose some of his edge after the U.S. Open, but he's been beating good players left and right, I'm so happy that he is playing well and I hope he wins the ATP tournament.

Sports drive me insane

I have a term paper on which I really should be working right now, but instead I'm staring at the live scores of the Federer vs Verdasco match and I'm on the verge of a mental breakdown. I really admire Federer, and I know that he isn't as good as he used to be a couple of years back, but I still don't enjoy watching him lose. He is a set down and it was a deuce on his serve right now and thank God he won it, or I might have exploded.
I think that my obsession with sports have become a little unhealthy now. I have trouble concentrating, I have to check sports websites (ontd football) every five seconds and I can't really talk about anything else but sports. It's not like they make me happy or anything. Yeah, maybe I am happy after Manchester United win, but the nervousness and freaking out before and during the game definitely outweigh the happiness...

Huh.. maybe watching football is worth it :)
